ok then u can still "uninstall" it.
first, go to settings/personal/today/items and uncheck htc home.
then delete the entire folder out of the root directory.
then go to \\\registry\HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\ in the registry and delete the directory htchome.
then go to \\\registry\HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items\ in the registry and delete the directory htc home.

there, now it will be unofficially uninstalled.haha
it will leave no evidence that it was ever there.

hope this helps,

Great idea . If that doesnt work try SKtools and use the uninstall utility.

Re: Uninstall HTC Home Plugin?

Uninstalled as per Dwizzy's method, then went to 'Remove Programs' and uninstalled it from there. Actually uninstalled this time, and soft reset itself to finish. Freed up about 8.5 MB of RAM space

Thanks again!

Re: Uninstall HTC Home Plugin?

Well I do have one more question... If you can answer it without me having to make a new thread, that'd be great...

I just bought SK Tools for the memory tools, though I also notice it's got a backup program built in... I bought SPB Backup a couple days ago, and have used it a couple times without any issues. The question is, which of the two is a better backup program?

Personally i would say spb backup is better because thats what the program was specifically designed for and not just a part of another program. i have used spb backup too and have had no issues at all. so in conclusion, id say spb is better.lol

Re: Uninstall HTC Home Plugin?

Haha, I figured... I paid $20 for SPB Backup, and $15 for all of SK Tools... Lol.

It's something of an annoyance to me having more than one program for the same purpose though... :-\
