Re: Verizon Wireless & latest update 6.1

Did the upgrades that you all perrformed do anything to improve the reception quality when further away from a tower?

I think that this is a known bug with some of the dialer skins showing data always on but it isn't. Check around the forum for info on dialers...

Re: Verizon Wireless & latest update 6.1

I'm new to this forum, and let me just say that the image verification test is VERY hard.

Anyway, thanks for the links, but I just want to know if there is a guide or something to restore ones phone so that a store will accept it (change the software back to normal to avoid voiding warranty), if that makes sense. This phone was really expensive, and if it breaks I don't want to receive a message like "Sorry, you have voided your warranty." I really want to mod my phone and install new software on it, but I also don't want to permanently void my warranty. Thanks for the help.

I've been using No2chem's 5067 on my xv6800 (Verizon) with a 9.5 Page Pool and boy this is a whole different phone. YES, wirelss internet works just great.... It was a great update and the phone cooks! Word of warning though ...READ up if you havn't used the No2chems updates....

See no2chem nueROM 2.1 Thread for details and good luck ...hope to see you over there on that thread!

What page is the info about build 5067? I don't think he mentions it on the first page. Also, I can always do Nickles way of restoring my original ROM, so there really is no risk, right?

thats one of the issues with these monster threads.. it kind of becomes a little difficult to pinpoint the pages that haev the data that interest you. unless you bookmark that specific page...... my advice is just spend a couple/few hours reading through the whole thread.. you'll be surprised at just how much you will learn.. you'll be glad you did when you are done.

and yep - restore to stock, will always bail you out of any goofs you create!
