Heaven help you... the only thing worse than Lotus Notes for email... is Novel GroupWise.

We're in the same situation, BES server but no WinMo support.

Zero. You could might get pop3/imap, but not direct push.

Is there any way I can get this to work by myself, or is his "expertise" necessary?? Thanks...
Hi everyone,

first go to your company exchange web mail, for example. https://mail.yourcompnay.com/exchange

and make sure that you can download the certificate locally to your workstation or laptop using ie6 or ie7, then just copy it to your titan double click and go into active sync and follow instruction.

let me know if it help otherwise i could troubleshoot further.

Also, I just checked the registration on my forum and it seems to be working. Private Message me if you continue to have problems with it.
Yes, the forum registration is working today. Thanks.

Yes, I imported my work's certificate (it is internally generated) and tried to use activesync. It now shows as an intermediate certificate on my xv6800. But when I try to use activsync, it says that the certificate is not valid.

I don't know our domain. I got an address from our Outlook 2003 program at work: outlook|tools|options|mail setup|email accounts|view|change - but I think that is just the internal address as it ends in .lcl (local?)

I tried to use the MobiPush. No go. It can't figure out the settings.

Until six months ago, I used the Verizon push program at my desktop. I showed it to an IT guy to show him how cool it was. The next week our IT shut that down and took away my administrative rights on my work computer When I asked why, they said that they will not support PPC, only blackberrys. That is their call - I don't begrudge them their decision or anything. It must be difficult to operate an IT for a large entity, and I don't understand all of the possible security issues involved in supporting myriad devices.

I guess I will have to be satisfied with accessing OWA through opera.

If your company allows you to connect to OWA(an outlook webmail client) then more then likely you should be able to sync with exchange. Type in just the server name part of the address that you use for webmail (https://[just_this_part]/exchange) and see if that goes through. If not try un-selecting this server uses an ssl connection and see if it goes through.

Where are you saying I type that in? If you mean in activesync|menu|configure server...
I still need the domain name.

What i was talking about before would be the server address

For Domainname:

What is the domain that you login to on your computer? Try using that for the domain name.

Re: IT guy at work is incompetent; can I get exchange to work by myself?

Using the Outlook web address and my domain name for authentication worked at my company.

So the server is owa.company.com
And user name is domain\username

Was playing around and it synced right up. It did erase my address book, so make sure you have a backup....just in case

I use my home Outlook for my phone's contacts and calendar. Is that the address book you lost when you synched to Exchange? I'd like to be able to use my PPC-6800 for work email, but not at the expense of losing my personal data.
