Yes, I imported my work's certificate (it is internally generated) and tried to use activesync. It now shows as an intermediate certificate on my xv6800. But when I try to use activsync, it says that the certificate is not valid. I don't know our domain. I got an address from our Outlook 2003 program at work: outlook|tools|options|mail setup|email accounts|view|change - but I think that is just the internal address as it ends in .lcl (local?) I tried to use the MobiPush. No go. It can't figure out the settings. Until six months ago, I used the Verizon push program at my desktop. I showed it to an IT guy to show him how cool it was. The next week our IT shut that down and took away my administrative rights on my work computer ![]() I guess I will have to be satisfied with accessing OWA through opera. |

If your company allows you to connect to OWA(an outlook webmail client) then more then likely you should be able to sync with exchange. Type in just the server name part of the address that you use for webmail (https://[just_this_part]/exchange) and see if that goes through. If not try un-selecting this server uses an ssl connection and see if it goes through.

What i was talking about before would be the server address
For Domainname: What is the domain that you login to on your computer? Try using that for the domain name. |

Re: IT guy at work is incompetent; can I get exchange to work by myself?
Using the Outlook web address and my domain name for authentication worked at my company.
So the server is owa.company.com And user name is domain\username Was playing around and it synced right up. It did erase my address book, so make sure you have a backup....just in case ![]() |
