Re: Setting Ringtones for text messages
Ok putting the .wav files was an older WM 2003, WM 5 thing, although it still works.. In the newer version of WM 5 and WM 6 the default tones for text notifications are .WMA format. If you want you can use HTC Audio Manager to clip any of your audio files to the length you want. Any WMA file you clip this way will automatically be picked up by your pocket pc. This doesn't work for MP3's but im workin on that.. Pretty much anything that can be played in windows media should work, since it use's windows media for all the codecs for notifications and sounds and such.. I'm sure there's a reg edit some where.. Other wise still use a program to clip your files and just dump them into the windows directory, or the sounds folder.. Um just putting it out there what file formats will work.. The audio manager seems to be the easiest way though.. If you have any problems let me know.. Although the over lapping notification tone thing is weird it doesn't happen on my phone.. Im running NOCHEMS 5060 on my mogul.. Also sure there might be a reg edit for this.. i'll also look into this one..
