please help an old timer with 2 easy questions

1. When I'm not in the car paired w/ my blutooth car kit, should I turn the bluetooth off on the phone? Whether on or off, my battery lasts long enough that I don't ever have to charge it during the day.

2. I recently upgraded from orig. sprint Rom 2.08 to the current version. I love the GPS. On the old version, I ran HTC X-Button 1.5. This new version has 2.0 built in. I know in 1.5 it would show me Comm Mgr running, but w/ 2.0, I have to do extra clicks to get to the task manager to see that it is running. Any way to "downgrade" without having to cook a rom? Maybe turn off via a reg hack and then install 1.5 and put in startup?

Thanks in advance,
Greg

@ 1 - if BT is off, your battery will last longer.

@ 2 - the only way to completely remove it would be to install a custom ROM. You can use other programs (like QuickMenu) to achieve the same tasks.

Don't know about 2, but as far as 1, if you're not charging the phone while on BT, you should already know it causes a drain on the battery. But its not going to hurt anything if you're not on a 4 hour drive.

I'm an old timer, but not old

I decided to keep the BT on (on the phone). The extra battery drain (versus if I turned off BT for the 8 hrs I'm at work) isn't significant enough to hassle with it.

I have downloaded QuickMenu and will try it. I really don't want to mess w/ a cooked ROM (not that I'm too old and frail to attempt it). I just need an easy way to see if I left Comm Mgr running and I see it also prevents ActiveSync from running upon soft reset (or power off/on).

Do I need poutlook or anything else in the startup folder (besides VistaHide BatteryGuage)?
