Re: New Mogul Vs. Old Mogul
I never realized that there were differences. Is the old one branded with PPC? How do you tell if you have a new one or an old one?

Re: New Mogul Vs. Old Mogul
i asked about a similar issue before
i had the pocket pc branded one and got a new one through repairs the new one has the brighest lights behind the IE and Message buttons on the tp of the phone. i can not remember the pocket pc version being so bright if having lights at all. i cant say i feel any differance in the keyboard other then it is harder to open probably jut needs to be broke in. the new unit felt more sturdy then the old one |

Re: New Mogul Vs. Old Mogul
I felt the difference too... the older one seems smoother (keyboard wise and it looked shinier) where the new keyboard is more coarse not as smooth....

Re: New Mogul Vs. Old Mogul
I've had 5 Moguls since January (none of which were Pocket PC branded of course) and have noticed several subtle changes in build quality, coloration, keyboard feel & springiness etc with each. In retrospect, the first I had manufactured in early December had more of a purple coloration in the bezel around the screen. The keyboard also had more of a tactile feel and opened with more force and spring. In a matter of weeks, this one unfortunately developed a white spot and was returned (as were the others). I believe HTC has revised the hardware slightly in newer builds. My current Mogul manufactured at the end of January vibrates more like the Touch, is less purplish than previous Moguls, opens with less spring, has brighter messaging and IE buttons, a flatter keyboard, and a more tactile power button.
