Re: Confused -- Verizon's 6800 no MMS?
Hey all. I'm a proud (ha ha) owner of a VZ 6800 and I've been told that by sheer virtue of this phone being put out by Verizon, it's basically been neutered. So I Googled Verizon 6800 Firmware and wound up in this thread.
Looks like upgrading my ROM to this Kitchen thingy is the way to go, I visited the thread that someone was kind enough to link, but there's over 100 pages of commentary, so I was wondering if someone could briefly sum up, if I flash my ROM, what will my phone gain? What will it lose? Thanks. |

Ok, that's a relief. I'd love to get those features, but I kinda like Solitaire and I'm trying to learn SQL Server CE, noticed that those two things were singled out as being removed on the 1st post on the Kitchen thread.

Re: Confused -- Verizon's 6800 no MMS?
Ok, just want to make sure I've got this right before I but my n00b cherry.
1. Run SPL 2.40 to unlock the phone 2. Flash the 3.39 radio ROM 3. Flash dcd 3.1.2 4. Hard reset and enjoy? I know I've got the .net runtime stuff, do I have to install some kitchen files (wtf is kitchen anyhow) or am I good with just steps 1-4? |

Re: Confused -- Verizon's 6800 no MMS?
This is my first Pocket PC. So the first thing I did when i got it was flashed it. I got the GPS working. I never test the MMS before I flashed it so I don't know if it was working then. Anway MMS isn't working for me. When I open up the MMS program, it says USER@USER.Com. and when I send a picture message, it says Error synchronizing. I can't receive messages as well any help?
