Re: BIG wm wifi question...
have you tried WMWiFiRouter on your phone?

Re: BIG wm wifi question...
Well I only know how to do it on "ma" computer. I don't know anything about the limitations of networking on a game console. I second blasphemous_prime's suggestion of wmwifirouter. If the PS can use a wifi connection, just fire up wmwifi on your phone and then have the PS connect to the wireless network it creates.

Re: BIG wm wifi question...
i have yet to get wmrouter to work with a ps3, because it creates an ad-hoc network, the ps3 does not support ad-hoc, im hoping someone will be able to modify wmrouter to act like a acces point that would make things much better

Re: BIG wm wifi question...
I do this exact same thing, and NO crossover cable is required.
Just setup the connection with the mogul as usual, using your WIFI connection on the laptop. THen, SHARE THAT CONNECTION with the WIRED ethernet connection. From there, just use a regular ethernet cable to SHARE the VIRTUAL DHCP connection that your COMPUTER will be producing to WHATEVER device you like,it will grab a DHCP from the computer and you'll be good to go. I have done this with many devices, slingplayers, ps3, other computers, other routers, ethernet power jacks, they all work fine. |
