Re: My 5 day review.........

custom roms are better. try dcd 1.7.0. i been running it since he released it and its great, battery life is good. if you use your phone to browse sites a lot dont use the leaked rom as data connection on that sucks. spb shell 2 sucks, its a memory hog and the only difference from that to 1.5 is that you can add more contacts and the finger gesture which isnt even fast on the mogul. i oly use it to browse through my programs quick and easy. i've noticed htc home to be a memory leaker so i havent used it lately, instead i use phonealarm, for weather i have it setup in unltimate launcher under phone alarm. the phone works pretty good.

ohh yea and instead of installing those cabs, just download schaps advanced setup and you can just select the power management options which are the same settings plus you can disable the sent notification without manually editing your registry.

2.17 will fix that, or so I hear. I skipped 2.17 and went to the leaked 3.16 that enabled GPS and my battery is much better than when I used 2.09.

Re: My 5 day review.........

Idle data connections suck battery life too. Ya need this reg tweek to stop it. Trust, this save tons of battery life. No matter what rom im using i always put this reg tweek in.

HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\

delete or rename the SuspendResume to XXXX then Add new one as name SuspendResume and select the type to be String the value of this key set to GPRS_bye_if_device_off

and look for the other key name CacheTime (if not found add new one with type of Dword) then set it to the number of second before disconnect like this

CacheTime = 60

check for every thing right and then make a soft reset after if reboot go to turn on GPRS like check your mail and after the download mail complete and wait for 60 second it auto disconncet GPRS.

I wonder it work I notice I has been make this before but it doesn't work so I decide to rename the key SuspendResume and make a new one and now I very happy with this registry hack on my Treo750

k101d.
PS: finally
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\SuspendResume=G PRS_bye_if_device_off
HKLM\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings\CacheTime=60
