How do you do the trick? In "E-mail Setup" my drop down "Account type:" Is permanently stuck on "POP3" and I can't change it. Do you know why?

This is covered extensively at every mobile forum you may think to visit. Try searfching or using googles help pages.

With that said, the easiest "fix" I found for pop3 is to create a rule in gmail itself that marks mail sent from your email as reas and archive it.

Yes they will still show in your inbox but they will not be highlighted or marked as new.
