Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
Honestly I don't see them with everyone. One of my coworkers also has a mogul and doesn't have any issues with his device. It's in great shape for as much as he uses it. It's just one of those things that when it starts to occur, you should take it in immediately and have it sorted out....and get insurance it saves a lot of headaches

Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
I read somewhere (sorry, can't remember where) that it was the vibrator would overheat. I rarely use the vibrator and don't have a problem. If you start a poll, it might be interesting to see if people who have sopts are heavy vibrator users.

Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
I have the spot as well. It's not that big of a deal... not enough for me to go get a replacement like others.
I personally think it's an issue with the backlight LEDs (Although I have nothing to back that claim up). |

There is another thread about this issue. Maybe this should be merged?
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=16139 This is a very widespread problem . |

Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
i have this prob. asked rep at sprint store, he showed me his mogul and had the same spot, just in different location.
doesnt bother me, I'd rather have a bright spot than a dead pixel |

Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
Yeah, Ive gotten it on 3 different phones. It really seems to be an LCD issue. If I was making a guess, I would assume it is an issue with the LED backlighting. It might be a lot of things.
But I agree with everyone else. This is not a big deal. It isn't a dead spot or an unuseable spot. I only notice it on a single color background, and only occasionally. Video and active motion games don't seem to really show this.... |

Re: Mogul Screen Spot: What's the real story?
I got the spot shortly after the phone, but it has not grown or really bothered me. the only time i notice it is on the blue unlock screen. I believe it is due to living in my pockets. the spot kinda looks like it is on top of a corner of the back of the screen... when you slide it open there is a slight raised area behind the screen inline with the wifi switch. I think there's just too much pressure in that one area, but like i said it has not gotten any worse or effected any functionality.
