Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
People say it does, in the emulator forum, but I still think it can't.
Every touch screen I've used takes a midpoint between the touched places and registers that point, I never noticed this one to be any different. Even the DS one made for gaming. |

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
Even if it did support multi-touch, who wants to take up screen real estate with an on screen keypad that'd be big enough to actually hit the right buttons?
There has to be a way to make multiple button presses work! Software hack, new keyboard driver, something.... |

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
Confirmed... my phone's screen allows multiple taps IF THE SOFTWARE allows it. You can test it on an emulator.

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
That's still not good enough though, you need to be able to use the d-pad, one key for jump, and one for turbo at the same time, for it to really work well enough.

I found it! lol I was scouring the net today after a hard reset to find a couple things I forgot to backup oops lol and I stumbled across www.emulamer.com and saw the 6700 kb fix freeware cab. so I figured why not I already reset once if it doesn't work I can again now. but something amasing happened it works on pocket advance, pocket nester and pocket snes. those are all I have to test it on but it works. I can run with b and jump over thed pits and sqaush the goombas!!! needless to say im very excited. okay now its sounding sad lol you just install the kb fix on device (it instals into start menu programs but it doesn't do anything when you click on it) and then soft reset and run an emulator. maybe others can test it on emulators other than the ones I mentioned.

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
I came from the 6700 and now have a mogul. The 6700 with emulamer's keyboard fix worked great for me with NES and SNES games. However, even though the fix let the emulators know multiple keys were pressed, you really couldn't do a diagonal consistently in every direction. So I created a d pad overlay for the keyboard that allowed me to do diagonal shooting in any direction in Contra and it made you feel like you were holding an old NES controller. This was the best way to play since it gave the tactlie response of real keys and didn't require a large bluetooth accessory.
But now I have a mogul and see that it has the old keyboard problem. Unfortunately, I can't find any fixes for the keyboard. The emulamer 6700 fix does not work with it. It freezes the mogul when you run it and reseting the mogul obviously kills the process. I was desparate so I also tried running an emulator after the reset. An easy way to check for this is to use super mario bros and try to do a running jump. This requires a direction button, the b button, and then the a button to work simultaneously. If people are getting this to work what ROM are you using? Another bad thing I've found out about gaming on the mogul is that it's not as fast as the 6700. It could be the latest stock ROM I'm using but I have to skip more frames in pocketSNES and it's still not as smooth as the 6700. Oh well, I guess I can stick with Scummvm. Quote:

Re: press multiple buttons simultaneously?
you dont have to run the program 6700 kb fix, just have it installed, and the diagonal thing is still not working when i use the dpad, but you can hold a direction, hold b and then hit a to jump just fine. (requires some skill not to fat finger lol)
