What other applications do you have installed?
I know SPB Phone Suite has a profiles option that is set to automatically change upon bluetooth headset sync and then change back to normal 40% system volume. |

Im experiencing same GPS issues with DCD 2.2.6 and No2Chem's latest build. Neither work with google maps and I cant even get livesearch to even try to interact with my gps.
Added: Currently on No2Chem fresh install with only google maps installed, still no luck. |

Regarding the sound changes - I use the HTC Home plugin with the selectable profiles of Normal (all sounds), Silent (no sounds), vibrate (obvious) and Automatic (sounds except when you have appointments scheduled) - and dcd's 2.2.3. I don't know if I had this problem with the stock ROM, but, when I am in vibrate mode, and then add or modify a calendar appointment manually on my device - the sound kicks on. The profile selector in the Home plugin still shows its in vibrate mode, but the speaker icon is now showing at the top bar - and sound moste definitely is turned back on.
