Backing up text messages in WM 6.1?

is there a .vol file to be grabbed or something?

I believe that it is part of the cemail.vol file in the root directory. Just use PPCPIMBackup and backup your PIM data and it will grab the text messages.

I tried this method last night when I updated from WM6 to WM 6.1 and had no problems. Of course you need to save your data to a storage card or backup the file with active sync to prevent any data loss during the update.

for some reason its not working for me, everytime i try to restore them they are never get restored....any ideas?
