Backing up text messages in WM 6.1?

is there a .vol file to be grabbed or something?

I believe that it is part of the cemail.vol file in the root directory. Just use PPCPIMBackup and backup your PIM data and it will grab the text messages.

PimBackup is easy and effective. Its all I use I don't use activsync..

Haven't tried that. Went from Palm SMS to WM6.1 Threaded SMS

I tried this method last night when I updated from WM6 to WM 6.1 and had no problems. Of course you need to save your data to a storage card or backup the file with active sync to prevent any data loss during the update.

Yeah I just did it and restored. Worked like a charm.

for some reason its not working for me, everytime i try to restore them they are never get restored....any ideas?
