Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

You have to find the PRL website and download the newest PRL file. THere are several links on this forum. I'll find the one everyone is using. You open your keypad and typs ##778, click EDIT and enter 000000 for the password. Click VIEW INFO and click PRL. Hold the stylis over Update PRL File and click edit. Click Brows and it will automatically find PRL files. Choose the file and click OK. Click OK in the upper right corner and your phone will reset.

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

Hey guys, I recently updated my "Home" area and it solved a lot of Titan Freezes for me, reading this I updated my PRL to 40038 which is for Data cards, phone seems to work just the same I'll know tomorrow if I get the roaming Flash less because I travel a lot everyday. Also, the most recent PRL for the titan on alltel is 30034, I also have it on my phone in case of any trouble.

Was wondering if you found the site that has the prl files?

I moved to Orlando, FL and Alltel does not provide service here so I am constantly roaming and stuck on 1x. Didn't know if changing the PRL would at least get me on EVDO?? Would this even matter?

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

Ok... Found the PRL page: http://corolada.com/prl/

Just updated my phone to the 40038 to see if that will at least get me off of 1x and onto EVDO.

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

So the phone is still searching for a tower... Not sure if 40038 is the way to go?

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

When I moved to Orlando and found out I was going to be stuck on 1x I flipped the F out! I have been used to EVDO and going back to 1x sucks balls! I didn't think it could be this easy... I have been on here for 2 months looking for a way to get my high-speed back. You guys are awesome! Thanks again. REV-A!!!! WOO HOO!

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

Yes, I drove around today and for the first time ever I saw RevA and a lot more EV. Rarely 1X... I'm out in the country a lot so this helps!
Sorry I didn't post the site to PRLs last night, didn't know if we were allowed to on this site.

Re: Alltel Roaming Issue

Np... Been switching back and forth from 40036 and 40038 and it appears that I get a better signal with 40038... Might be a placebo though, not really sure.
