garmin mobile xt

I have installed garmin mobile xt, but am unable to get TTS for any roadway names... ie it just says to turn right in so and so feet but never the name of the street... I have heard garmin mobile xt does this - is there an option somewhere I'm not seeing or do I have the wrong voice file? I have English_American_.vpm 1,119,488 bytes...

This is the reason why I got rid of my garmin mobile. I love my garmin 350 but it looks like they half-assed their mobile software. Instead I switched to iguidance 4.0 which does announce street names and whats even better is I got it for free

Technically he didn't get it for free considering he pays for his Internet bill which allowed him to download it through Torrents or whatever.

i used iguidance on the mogul. it was slow to a crawl, and very unresponsive, especially when you got a call in or text message. did you have the same problem?

I've used iGuidance 4.0 and TomTom 6.0. I dumped iGuidance because it wasn't updating automatically while I was moving. I read on xda there are fixes you can implement for this.

I just decided to stick with TomTom it's more finger friendly, faster, and more customizable. The only problems are it doesnt look for gps on the titans automatically (you need astros gps launcher) and it doesnt announce names. I've found while using it it still gets me where I need to go pretty well.

Iguidance 4.0 works great with external BT GPS not with rom 3.16 thus, since I upgraded to rom 3.16 radio 3.27, Iguidance does not response or work like before. So, I decide to use External BT GPS with Iguidance 4.0 until rom 3.16 fix with their built-in GPS or does anybody experience this problem?

Iguidance is rediculously slow - I don't know how anyone can stand using it...
