So its all up and running on vista, sync fine, but for the life of me i cannot find the option that lets you make contact changes on your phone and have them be reflected on the computer, i have to change them in outlook in order for things to save...so if im away from the computer and i add a new contact, go back to sync when i get home it deletes my contacts...

i know you can change this setting with xp/activesync...but what about vista and WMDC?

I have xp not vista. to change how the device is treated was found on my device.

when connected and sync'd I opened active sync on my device and touched the menu option.

the Options menu item was greyed out so I closed sync and restarted. Went back to the menu and selected Options and found a selection for updates direction.

yeah i know about that option but all it does is allow you to set what to do if there is a conflict and these are the only options...

"replace item on my device"
"Keep the item on my device"

this doesnt really help if i add a contact on my phone and it doesnt get added to my contacts on my pc...
