SPB BACKUP has failed! I need to buy something else for future backups any suggestions?
Did you do a selective restore instead of a full restore? What version are you using? I suggest visiting their support forum, they tend to be pretty responsive concerning bugs.

I've created 5 backups using the new ROM with Spb Backup v1.6.3. I haven't tried a restore yet. Spb backup has a Unpack Tool that lets you uncompress all the files from a Spb Backup created backup file onto you PC desktop. You can manually copy any files you need back to your PPC using this method.

Thanks, I didn't know that. This will be helpful in extracting certain files. One problem that I have with SPB back up is that it restores files into a read only format. Has anyone else experienced this? I also am using 1.6.3 and the backup process hangs aways. I did fresh build by phone and reinstalled it but it never goes past ~5-10 percent.

Oh nice I am going to try that when I get home.
