I saw a sedeio (or however its spelled) that came in at 16xxmah. The stock one is 1500.

Ah here it is
http://store.wmexperts.com/seidio-16.../8A37A2932.htm
That one fits in the battery compartment as is.

Wow, that's kind of crappy. I guess I'll end up purchasing it and using it as my main battery. I'll keep the OEM as a spare. I was going to do that anyway but I didn't want one of those chunky extended batteries...

This is exactly what I am doing. It works well for me. I find I only use the SEIDIO battery, (1650mAh), and I keep the stock on standby for my travels and long days away from power. I agree about the chunky extended batteries. I am happy with this configuration.

The Seidio is the most powerful stock size, but gives you just a little more than the stock battery.

If its sunny where you live, go with one of these

Heh you would care less about the chunkiness when you're eyeing the battery percentage. Everybody grows out of that phase, a short time after.
Its better to just await for accessories to fit the larger battery.

The extra 10-20% of the stronger OEM size is worthless by itself.
Don't waste your money on those pathetic 1530-16xxmAh (anyones brand) batteries & carry 2 of them for the sake of sleekness. You might as well get chargers (preferably a mobile AAA) but even that isn't worth it.

It's more effort than its worth, trust me. Unless you feel like charging your phone twice to compensate, carry another battery in your pocket, fully powering off your phone to do the switch etc...

All of what I'm saying is in my personal experience of going that route with my X51v, months later I ended up getting a Mugen 3300mAh and it saved me the hell I mentioned above.

I've recently bought the Seidio 3200mAh for the Mogul & because it doesn't consume the power that my X51v was drinking, it lasts even longer & I do not have to bring my charger to work with me anymore or worry about the battery dying as it takes a LOT of effort to get it down below 50%.

I'd weigh this decision well, the size of a real ext battery is a small con in comparison to maintaining smaller 2 batteries.

How much size did this add to your Mogul? I was looking at a Mugen through the following ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-3600mAh-EXTE...QQcmdZViewItem

The seller indicated that it would add 1/4" to the size.

Visual:
As far as poking out of the back is concerned, if you slide the keyboard out, its as thick as the portion with the LCD screen. If you look at the right side of your mogul, it would come just above the stylus & up to the power button.

That Mugen's back isn't as sexy as the Seidio but 400mAh more is grand, it would equate to 130% more power.

Wait for some benchmarks from other Mugen users, its weird that guy on Ebay is the only one with them...
