i wouldn't flash your rom unless you are absosmurfly sure that you want to. particularly after you install programs that you want, because it'll just erase them. install programs AFTER you flash, not before.

<3 my Treo 755p.

Takes some getting used to though because things like dealing with databases/dbcache vs windows file explorers and the general way the Palm OS works is quite different than WM.

Also there's a billion apps for Palm OS, so there's a lot more to learn on what you like/want.

If the reception quality hasn't decreased from the original Q (which I can't see why it would) the Motorola Q should have great reception.

When I was on VZW with my original Q, I had several instances when people would ask me what kind of phone I had because no one around me could make phone calls in certain locations. Their phones would say no service and I could make and receive calls albeit they weren't the best sounding calls.

The Q 9c should be as good or better, but on Sprint the reception may not be quite as good, as their frequencies don't penetrate through walls as easily as the VZW freq's.

I still think I would try one more Mogul, and wait until after the next update for Rev A and GPS. This phone is going to be hot all over again after the update comes out.

I have the Mogul and I am going to exchange it for a Q9c this weekend. Some would say that's a downgrade and that's ok. I went from a Q to the Mogul because I wanted to do more, but in the end... it's been more of a headache than anything else. I'm on my second one now, brand new, and I'm still missing calls. I never missed one call with my Q. I miss the one-handed operation too. I can do without the touchscreen. Wifi is not a big deal to me since I have basically unlimited everything. My slider is already loose again....

I probably will come back to a PPC in the not too distant future but for now...the 9c will more than suit my needs...

Re: Should I trade my mogul for the MOTO Q 9C, TREO 755 OR A new Mogul?

I was having a lot of problems until I flashed to a new 3rd pary rom. Night and day better now. also use opera mini which works like a charm with proper flash installed.

However, I got two moguls and the one used most has kind of a loose sliding keyboard already (under 1 month usage) while the other doesn't. This concerns me, is it going to last 2 years? I can't really find any evidence on these forums stating it prematurely breaks, but it does appear like a lot of people use their insurance on ths forum. I'm not carrying insurance.

Re: Should I trade my mogul for the MOTO Q 9C, TREO 755 OR A new Mogul?

A Sprint Rep that I know always told me to stay away from Motorolla's. He has experienced the most failures and upset customers mostly have the motorolas. Stick to the Mogul. (I like mine). Or get the 755p. (dont know much bout it)

i appreciate you alls help in this its been hard but sacrificing a toouch screen for better service is what i need
A few great Motorola Q sites:

www.hellomotoq.com

www.qusers.com
www.everythingq.com
www.qusers.com

I had a Q9C before I switched to my mogul. I did like it alot, but I wanted a PPC, not a smartphone. I do still kind of miss it, but I will never regret getting my mogul
