Is it safe to get a Mogul?

I've read all 200 and something posts in the 2.17 Rom post. I've been following the trials and tribulations with this phone since the beginning. I've read the posts with the custom roms. It seems everybody has different opinions on whether or not the new rom is working the way it's supposed to.

The only thing stopping me from getting a mogul is all the bugs, but I'm starting to feel like I've reached the end of the road with my 6700 and I want something new. The touch is nice but I'll feel violated with no wifi (even though I hardly use it on my 6700 as it is). But I digress.
