I've been using that rom for over a month now and it has been faster and more stable, with more available memory than any of Sprint's ROMs, although I haven't tried 2.17 yet. Maybe the Verizon ROM is better than Sprint's but for my experience WM5 runs far better on this device than WM6

Are you running FTouchFlo in the WM6 builds? It has a known problem with Transcriber and could be a similar problem to your program.
