I can't seem to turn mine all the way off. It only goes to a very dim setting and thats it. I actually WISH it could shut off all the way, as that would save me some battery while sharing the EV-DO via WiFi...

Really...anybody else mind testing this?
Just go to backlight settings, and drag it all the way down. Be careful not to let off of the slider, or you might not be able to find your way back to light until you plug it in to external power. My screen shuts completely off.
Again, how can they be so stupid? Once its off, how the heck do they expect you to turn it back on?

Just grab a flashlight or a bright lamp and shine it on the screen. You should be able to see enough to adjust the backlight back up. The LCD doesn't turn off, just the backlight.
