One thing I have experienced is that the slower the battery charges the longer it lasts. Car chargers will shorten the battery life the next day...ur best bet would to probably run the battery down to 5% and then charge it with the usb cable overnite...it will trickle charge the battery even slower than the regular wall charger. I unplugged my phone from the usb monday night and here it is wed night and i'm still at 40%...I'm using sprints mobile e-mail which helped extend battery life to because it does not have to fully log on and connect to check for e-mail. And keep useless connections off like every1 else has already stated.

For the love of everything technology, NO! Lithium-ion based batteries should NOT be run to the bottom... at least, not very often, and not as a first choice. They should not be stored in hot locations either.

They should be kept in cool locations, and it is better to keep them topped-off (so plug-in when you can) as much as possible.

Any search on Lithium Ion technology will confirm these tips and more. I am particularly fond of this article.

Exclamation The truth about Lithium-ion batteries

I agree with GoodThings2Life: Keeping your Pocket PC's battery charged as much as possible is preferable to allowing it to drain.

Most of the new PPCs employ lithium-ion batteries, which provides anywhere from 300 to 500 charge cycles. Lithium-based batteryies prefers to be partially charged as opposed to fully discharge and subsequently fully recharged.

It may also be helpful to know that Lithium-based batteries possess have an effective life of two to three years. The timer is set as soon as the battery is manufactured and so, if you are contemplating the purchase of a spare lithium-ion battery for later use, be certain that you pay close attention to the battery's date of manufacture.

Matt

I should probably note that the tips hotbyz gave is valid if you're using Ni-MH or Ni-Ca style batteries... I guess my post comes off a bit like a slam, so I apologize on that.

The mogul has a lithium ion Polymer battery BTW or LiPo for short. Never use a NiMH/ NiCD Charger with them. It will explode!
