First off, I dont know what you mean by an "Unlocker". The Custom Rom Utility files I have downloaded all came with an extraction EXE that I can run on my XP workstation, which all run the same type of ROM updating as an original Sprint Mogul rom would lets say,

So... What is there that needs to be unlocked. And, if you're suggesting I use the search, why don't you narrow it down to what I should actually be searching for? Is it "Custom ROM Unlockers" is it "Unlockers" What is it?

No disrespect intended, but if you can't find information about "unlocker" or "flashing ROMs" in the sticky threads, you should not be fooling around with custom ROMs.

Dude. I understand ROMs, how they work, and how they're installed. No where in any of the posts I SEARCHED through did it note I needed an "Unlocker". But, I finally FIGURED OUT MYSELF that when someone posted the "Unlocker" text that I searched.

relax bakntyme

No Need to poke pointy sticks at the dude... this flashing and unlocking and RUU's and mtty's and exit bootloaders can be overwhelming,,, even for a few of us "IT pros"... its this cool little itty bitty computer thing that were trying to squeeze hacked OS's into with our customizations n stuff .......

so unless your already ...I dunno writing WM6 apps and have written WM5 apps and are really familiar with PPC this process is REALLY strange....

Even with the stickies I'm still trying to gather up a SIMPLE '''how to''' for my Mogul, basically just to get rid of the Skunkware sprint placed on it. I don't even have a bluetooth device yet, and all of the customizations I want I've already hacked into the current 2.09 ROM sprint delivered it with...

I'm tempted to cull together snippets from xda & here into one post with links..for the above cited apps just for clarity, but I still don't know what I'm doing...perhaps I'm worrying about nothing..but really I don't want to brick my KeWeL little pocket computer (that just happens to have a phone on it) just to be current in my OS version or to remove some stressful apps that sprint forced onto it, [and yanked the ability to uninstall them.] Honestly I'd eventually want a Bluetooth for wireless calls. & Whenever HTC gets their %$$$s together with the GPS & the Rev 2 I'd like the experience of flashing to a new rom behind me.... so that that flash goes smooth..... My 2 cents ..hope it wasnt offensive..just ranting...

Seems a bit pointless to even do the update until they come out with the update that includes the EV-DO Rev. A and GPS. you'd just have to reload all your apps again anyway so it all seems a bit on the impatient side. Im not a phone spaz so its hard enough for me to even get everything like i want it in the first place. everyone in here is just getting their panties in a bunch instead of helping each other like this forum was meant to do. most phone morons like myself would be totally lost with out forums like this and the "good" people in here who actually help phonically inept loosers like myself.

Thanks for the help for those who actually do. =D>

I agree it can be strange and overwhelming...and I don't claim to fully understand it myself. HOWEVER, I originally suggested that he look for information about the unlocker in the sticky threads. Try looking at the forum index, find the sticky threads...I know he can, because he posted here, in one of those sticky threads...there are seven threads there; one is this one; one is called "Sticky: Titan Flashing for Dummies - a very basic guide" which in its first post will direct him to another of the sticky threads, which could also be accessed directly from the index, "Sticky: Hard-SPL - Flashing ROMs - Titan Unlocker - Click Here!" So two out of the six sticky threads, (not counting this one), would have given him what he needed.

His response, however, was to ask me whether he should search for "custom ROM unlockers" or "unlockers".

I was not and am not trying to insult anybody; but custom ROM flashing may not be for everyone, and it seems that there are very many posts asking for help, or emergency help, due to people attempting it when they don't even know why they think they need a custom ROM.

Nah im not that bad but there are some things that completley and totally screw with my mind even though you guys may think "what a doofus" but I can get around ok I just dont want to have to blow up my already comfortably modded phone when they are supposed to put out that new gps rom soon, unless its easier than I thought.
