It won't install the new rom without a 50% battery charge.....doesn't matter if your hooked up to external power or not.

I did let the Sprint customizations run and I don't have it either. I wonder if someone didn't hack it there and didn't do a hard reset after flashing? I've had problems doing that before so now I *always* hard reset after a flash. It wasn't there before, it's not there now and I don't see anything in the extended rom leading me to believe it was a customization.

excuse my language but HOLY SHIT!

after few speed tests in pie and tethering using my laptop i'm consistently getting speeds almost twice as fast as before....(and these are in the same areas i've test before)

I DID have it as a customization on my previous install. I was under the impression that flashing the new rom to my device wiped everything out. How could that stay and everything else is gone?

I've reset my PPC phones 100's of times before and you always get a performance boost cause of the clean build but this is different - you can truly tell that its faster.

And no, there are no Touch UI enhancements on the default ROM, altho I installed them all and still had 22Mb free after all of them and my applications.

I had 25.45MB Free after first reboot.

whats the difference if I run the Ext. rom or not?? I let mine run but I don't know if it does anything extra for the phone other than load all that crap that I don't need, like the music store and on demand ect... is there a difference in performance and required needs on the device If I don't run it??

I agree.Internet is a lot faster w/new ROM for me too.
