Yeah if it wasn't for the direct link on page 2 of this thread I would never get it... Perhaps they did pull it because of issues they found.. lol wouldn't surprise me...,

if you don't like the issues you could join verizon and wait until forever before the phone comes out crippled to death (i had a moto v710 and was part of that lawsuit, but i'm going off track)

I hope this update fixes my email issue with the mogul that i never had with my apache

Well as was previously mentioned, www.america.htc.com resolves to an Akamai caching server, which means their pages are mirrored across a large number of servers, and most of them just haven't refreshed their caches yet. It usually takes 24-48 hours which would coincide nicely with the official response of a Friday release.

That said, you're probably right about 2.17 having some issue(s). I downloaded it via direct link, but I'm not going to flash until the weekend after the early birds get their fill of testing.

I appreciate Sprint/HTC keeping their promise of a ROM by the end of November. Also thanks to all who are grabbing this ROM right away. I look forward to reading your experiences, especially bt and RAM performance. I jumped on 2.16 and suffered a frustrating work day without a dependable phone. I think I'll sit this one out at least till the weekend. I'm pretty satisfied with Sampsons WM5 rev01, but it still feels funny that I had to "downgrade".

SORRY, VZW's tearing down that DAMN wall.

No more waiting on CDMA to conform to VZW. VZW will conform to manufacturers that make CDMA phones.

Yeah I already downloaded the file and now notice the download link is gone from HTC I wonder if it was up there for a short period of time so they can Public test it and made sure not a crazy amount of people downloaded it.

i have no problem getting to the HTC web page with it posted. Though I'm going to wait to install to see if this is also a mess like 2.16

I have been able to install Sprite Backup, MyMobiler, SKTools, TomTom and X-Button 1.1.5 without any issues. And in regards to the random keyboard pop-ups, I wanted to do some more testing before installing the SIP from the link posted. After a soft reset the problem seems to have gone away.

On a side note, I have noticed that some parts of the registry have changed. I've only noticed a couple of small changes, dll locations etc. so far.
