I have been able to install Sprite Backup, MyMobiler, SKTools, TomTom and X-Button 1.1.5 without any issues. And in regards to the random keyboard pop-ups, I wanted to do some more testing before installing the SIP from the link posted. After a soft reset the problem seems to have gone away.
On a side note, I have noticed that some parts of the registry have changed. I've only noticed a couple of small changes, dll locations etc. so far.
