BigJ's üb3R *Sprint* ROM --- B.E.T.A. (rev 1.0b) 11-26-07
This is my first attempt at a ROM for the mogul. The kitchen used was based on the work from this thread
DogGuy's Kitchen (Now with working BT base) http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=12060 This ROM should not be considered final by any stretch of the imagination. I post this publicly for those willing to provide feedback and assist in the troubleshooting process. Since this is my very first on this platform I have taken a very conservative approach, using very few OEM's and did not modify the core files very much. This is in no way of the same calibur as the 6700 ROM series I developed because this is not a 6700 and I have only had my 68 for like a week. I dont know the little "quirks" if you will, and this phone seems to have them in abundance (read as: pile of garbage). Anyways Here it is, I hope you enjoy it as much as i do, and I like it a lot because the stock rom is a seeping pile of shit. Included in this ROM Battv - battery guage Calendar + Call Firewall DeviceLock 1.1 Blue skinned keyboard Memmaid 1.7 (dont like 2.0) Tons of additional menu extension and context templates Picturemail (yes it works right out of the box) Single Line notification plugin (uber) o2 lastcall, sound profiles, runningprograms Phone codes (found in windows directory) *NOT WORKING* see below Phonealarm 16beta (the version that doesnt mess w/ the volume while in a call) Pimbackup 2.5 ptravelalarm - works much better than GS and has a today plugin RC MOD Tools to change the color of everything to suite you Resco Explorer, simply the best 617 Resco Picture Viewer Pro, 632 rlToday w/ custom "J" theme Softreset button in programs Speed dial today plugin to use pix or txt to dial out (similiar to treo) Startclean to keep that start menu nice and shiny Task Manager 2 (formerly known as X-Button by HTC) TCPMP 072rc1 w/ working vid, tested streams from ORB Youtube download plugin, antiquated but i still like it SMS enhancements to make your conversations easier to follow Clear Voicemail shortcut under programs Winrar of course ....and a TON of misc speed tweaks and stuffs ==========KNOWN ISSUES=========== ## Codes do NOT work! pTravelalarm today plugin will not pull the alarm up -- By design, no i wont fix it, i put a shortcut to set it in the start menu Phone as Modem Connection... plz manually remove the rescource key under HKLM - COMM - Internet Sharing to avoid authentication error #67 when using internet connection sharing The single line notification todayplugin will initially show like 446 missed calls or something, this is normal, give it a day or so and they will clear automatically and then it will start to function properly Some of the programs that need registration are not registered, ill fix the ones i can shortly, in the meantime use google or your credit card The Alarm Clock does NOT have a default sound, make sure you CHOOSE one when creating your alarms! SUPER IMPORTANT INFORMATION You MUST have your bootloader unlocked... follow the instructions in this thread to do so http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9093 I HIGHLY reccomend running radio 1.40 as 1.32 from sprint is complete crap. It will also give you better Bluetooth functionality, better reception, faster internet speeds, and more battery life. It is included in my ROM download. I've always enjoyed your reserved, subtle use of the English language, J.
This is both a highly-impressive and extremely intimidating list of customizations. I might go ahead and take the plunge tomorrow, although I was hoping to hold out on flashing my phone again until the next major ROM release. I really don't want to mess with the deactivation/reactivation process on Mobipocket... Hey, and don't forget you've got that entire subdomain on my host if you want to skip RapidShare...
