To answer a few questions
Yes ill post my rlToday skin and both my PA skins. The phone skins are just picture replacements from the default dialer, available freely in my 1.3h kitchen in the apache thread. Just replace the pictures with the ones in your /windows/ directory and soft reset. No i did no break ##codes the phone skin is just a picture file, the ## codes are broken because the kitchen does not have a proper dump of the OEM_OPERATOR (sprint). Once the ext.rom and operator files are dumped properly they will be fixed. This is out of my hands, i have never manually created a kitchen from a raw .nb file. The low volume from the speaker confuses me. My co-worker mentioned it as well but I personally have not noticed any degradation in sound volume. I have heard a lot of trouble with MSVC on this device so until i see a guaranteed fix, that I can subsequently put into an OEM package I did not want to put in a broken program. If someone has a *FULLY WORKING* cab install for that program, w/ BT announcements working and PTT. Shoot it over and I will test for the next release. In regards to the SMS Enhancements, yes it is identical to the work of codyppc(ppcgeeks)/shogunmark(xda). I apologize for the vagueness of the description but certain legal entities are quite unhappy that we borrowed aspects of their "intellectual property" for use on our devices and therefore I steer clear of ever actually naming the application. I forget as well, that some of you have not used my previous ROMS and therefore are unfamiliar with this addition. There is no "delay" in the SMS application, as this ROM is built specifically for SPRINT, I used the older smstrigger file that will instantly pull the sms notification and direct it to the correct sms application without delay. Windows Live has been proven to cause excessive drain to the battery, regardless of whether it is loaded or not. Because of this, and the fact that it is easily available as a CAB install, I have removed it from the ROM. I appreciate you guys taking the plunge, and look forward to more feedback. Thanks! EDIT: Good News Guys! I just heard from Dogguy and he is hard at work on a new base "core" for us. He is working out a hybrid with os files from the touch/vogue and so far it looks promising. YAY!

My mogul is constantly just freezing up with the stuff I have installed on this, so I might just try out this out, but I need to get familiarized with everything first, as the mogul is my first PPC and all I've done so far is add programs, themes, and cabs. Thanks for the release BigJ

Anyone know if there's a program to use the PPC as a Windows Media Center remote? I have a HP WMC ir receiver. Or maybe via WiFi or BT?
I tried to connect to the media sharing thing in Vista, but I think I'm missing something. |

Hey JBabey, great ROM as usual. I used your ROM's on my 6700, which I still have.
I got the ROM upped on my 6800, and one quick thing I noticed is when I hit the messaging button on the phone (top left by BT/WiFi indicator) it opens up the correct screen, but I only see MMS and Outlook! I can't see SMS as an option? And if I go into Outlook for example and look at the accounts available, like if I was to switch to SMS, SMS isn't even available. Now, when I get a SMS I see the notification on the today screen, and when I click on it it opens in Threaded SMS, which is good. Anyway, thanks for the great ROM and I'll post any other issues if I see any. -Slevin Last edited by Slevin; 11-29-2007 at 03:52 PM. |
