The reason you can do this is because the discount applies to gift certifcates as well.

Generally buy a gift certificate for the amount of the item you want and pay 50% - 15% off the gift certificate value.

for example cost of a $40 shield with shipping after 50% - 15% is aproximately $22

buy a $25 gift for about $8.75 after the 50% - 15% discount choose to recieve the gift certificate code through email and you will get it withing a few minutes. use the code to puy the item and you've bought the $40 shield for $8.75 with $3 left over in the gift certificate.

P.S I know this works cause I did it.

I thought about this but I was like... "they aren't that stupid to allow customers to do that" so I didn't bother giving it a shot at all.

Yeah Sorry guys, looks like they did take it off. I went through my history to get the direct links to the gift certificate page. http://ifrogz.com/certificates.php and all products on that page was removed.

I manage to get the $40 shield and at $50 gift certificate for later before they took it off

you saying you recieved the certificate code in the email but couldn't use it at checkout? try the check balance option at the bottom of this link http://ifrogz.com/certificates.php to see if it has any balance.

Correct, it has a total balance of $25. But at check out, it won't accept it.
