Threaded SMS - I Dont Understand

Ok, after reading about how cool Threaded SMS is, I have tried it out many different times, and I just dont understand the Hype. Is there somthing I am missing?

I get around 100 text messages a day from a friends and family, and everytime the Threaded SMS app last about 2 hours before I just get fed up with the idea, and uninstall the app.

Please help me understand what I am missing?
