The messages are organized into conversation trees rather than a gigantic list that is jumbled together.
It makes it easier to view and respond to multiple conversations. |

I guess I just dont have that hard of time following what I am talking about to who...
I know its setup to mimic Instant Messaging which I use everyday for work, I just think the layout and speed of the application sucks. Seems it takes me twice as long to respond to a message. |

What he said. I don't like random emails all around, I want to know what I said to someone and what they are replying too, I get more than 100 emails a day and can't stand the fact that I can't easily see what someone said to me and how I replied.

Think of it more as a Forum, like this one.
Standard SMS is every post gets posted on the main page. EVERY POST, in a huge list. Threaded SMS is forum style, specific conversations contain all relevant posts (i.e. each contact conversation has its own thread). |

I don't text message much but couldn't live without it. The thing I do hate is it opens itself up every few hours for no reason. Constantly closing it all day.

If you used the app and didn't like it I don't know what you want us to tell you. You clearly did not like it or see value on it, so just remove it and enjoy regular SMS... like many users do.
I don't understand why people try something, don't like it, and then ask others to show them why they think it's good. It's based on personal opinions, some like it... some don't

fyi, personally for myself, Palm's Threaded SMS app is the first thing I install when reloading a phone. It IS essential for me to communicate, as others have said. I dont want to "guess" what was last said.

I was just trying to make sure I hadnt missed something about the application. I clearly understand how it works, and what it does.
To me the biggest problem is the delay in trying to reply to a text message. |
