As long as the phone works, you can use ActiveSync with the computer and it will still sync your contacts. Just go into the partnership settings on the computer and make sure Contacts is checked.

I got the sync software and checked Contacts. It just sync'd. Now I dont know where my contacts are. They are not in Outlook. And now when I try and use the voice call, it gives me the 3 beep error. If I lost all my contacts I am going to flush this thing.

SOmetimes you have to synch more than once make sure u "UNCHECK" contacts from the active synch options and synch and then go back and "CHECK it"and re synch ,it should be in outlook express not the office outlook under contacts goodluck

Ok...I'm not too sure how it works with XP, but there should be a settings tab in your Active Sync for Partnership Settings. You can set what you would like to sync (emails, contacts, tasks, etc). Make sure to check "Keep the item on my device" for "if there is a conflict".

Ok, I got my new phone and I lost all my contacts.. What setting should the sync software be on to "Back up Contacts" It seems that when I add contacts to Outlook, it adds them to my ohone. However, when I add contacts to my phone and sync it, it deletes them. I cant find a setting to keep both.
