Email said i can do the exchange. Retentions refused made me fax in the form saying the email will exchange (supervisor at retentions!). TOld me they'd call me in one hour.. its been about a day!

Greatest part? the supervisor was somehow only able to see the "one" email that told me to go to the sprint store not the next one that agreed with the exchange!

I'm second guessing the 6800 after reading this thread and all of the problems related to the BT on the 6800. Any complaints other than the Touch not having a keyboard when compaining these two phones? Can anyone vouch for the quality of the Touch in way of processor speed? The HTC site states a 201 mhz processor for the Touch and the big attraction for me with the 6800 was the 400 mhz processor. Thanks.

The HTC Touch for Sprint is the HTC Vogue CDMA. Not the HTC Touch GSM, which is a completely different device.

The Touch has twice the RAM, the 400MHz processor, working bluetooth, etc. Its just missing the hardware keyboard... which I've been using the Touch keyboard for a few days and I'm starting to really like it. I almost think I type faster on it than the Mogul hardware keyboard.

Called last night and spoke with a "supervisor" who kept chanting the Sprint 30 day mantra. Sprint will buy back the Mogul for $50. I asked how a phone could depreciate in value so much within just 60 days. Talked him down to $200 for the Touch, but my wife says I can't spend any more money (she wasn't too pleased with me spending $500 on the Mogul), so now I guess it's up to Ecare, or trying to get another supervisor on the line who actually listens to reason.

I finally got an email back from Sprint, basically telling me I need to go to a store to have my phone checked out..... So I will wait until tomorrow and then write back saying the tech said it's a generic phone problem or something.. :-\

Even though I love my moguls (i'm on my 4th 0ne). When I called to ask about the problems with mogul and when they would be fixed, they offered me a touch. Out of curiosity i accepted it. It should be here this week. Besides next time I go into the Sprint store and talk to them about my phone I can look at that manager who tried to give me another broken phone and smile.

How to get sprint to replace your Mogul with Touch!!!

I bought a brand new Sprint Mogul from someone on Craigslist.org for $330 about 3 weeks ago. I called sprint today and told them I want to find out how much would it cost to disconnect my service and they asked why would I want to cancell and maybe they can help me with my problem, so I told them that this phone sucks and I need a better phone and they said I can pick any phone that they offered. So I'm getting a brand new and being credited $549.99 for the Mogul for which I only paid $330 bucks plus I'm getting a Touch and a $49.99 credit.

The easiest way to get a replacement is to Call sprint Retentions tell them your problem make sure he notes your account with what you tell him and then hang up. Call them right back and say that you just spoke to someone and they were suppose to exchange the phone for you but you got disconnected. That's what I did. The first rep told me that he can't help me cause I didn't buy the Mogule from them but once I hanged up and called right back and told the second rep that the first one was about to do the replacement she didn't even ask any questions. Good Luck to anyone that tried to get a replacement but was usuccessfull.

So you're getting the touch for a grand total of $379.99?

No it's 330 minus 49.99 because that's how much cheaper the touch is which comes out to 280 plus I sold my original phone that I got with sprint which was a motorola q for 180 so the touch only cost me 100 bucks which is great.

i ended up having to spend about 20 hours on the phone with retentions cause at first we were gonna do an even swap, mogul for touch, by the way added a line and got the mogul for 99 dollars, got it on tuesday but minus the return kit called back and said i should not have to take another day off of work to wait for a return kit that should have been with my touch order asked if i wanted to keep my mogul and buy the touch could i purchase the touch for 200 dollars, retenstions lady says i got a better deal, you keep mogul and you can purchase touch for 150, so long story short it is how you talk to people and who you get on the line, so for 240 dollars i now have a touch and a mogul.
