And here we go... another rumor gets started.

No offense to you, or the person you talked to. This thread will be monitored closely.

I say this because this is how it all gets started. For all I know you really spoke to the big cheese over at HTC and the info is 100% correct. But there's also information that previously said Rev A. for the Mogul won't be out until Q1 2008.

If this info is correct, then I'll be really happy in December (as long as this update doesn't break more things than it fixes like 2.16 did). But until then... this nothing else than a rumor.

HEY GUYS

i can confirm this, my sisters roommate has a pet snake which she bought from the pet store of a guy whos mother works for HTC.. my sister said the update will be hand-delievered to us individually by celebrities. the celebrity will vary based on your region, all i know is that Yasmeen Bleeth has Montana.

it will also include a fix for the GPS and enable the phones taser functionality.

I might be wrong, not an expert on sprint financials, but if they follow a standard fiscal year, then November 1st, 2007 would be the start of Q1 2008 for sprint.

Well then we'd have to guess if they meant their fiscal year or the calendar year.

I'm not sure where that notion came from, but it's not true. Most companies use the standard calendar year as their fiscal year. There are some that don't, but there's no particular rule as to what year they do use. Some begin in July, some in other months. I've never heard of one starting in November, but I'm sure there must be one or two out there that do. In any event, it's certainly not a standard.

And even if Sprint did use a non-standard fiscal year, they wouldn't use those dates to talk about this kind of topic. For our purposes, Q108 starts in January.

I would have to agree with Gilliland. I would not guarantee that their fiscal year is definitely in sync with our calendar year. However, by definition the fiscal year is just an "accounting year." It can correspond to the calendar year or be something like, July 1 to June 30, as many government entities have it.
