Common, just do the test. Go online with your mogul and google "white background". Save it and then onpen it and thats it. You will be surprised that your is just like mines. Or is everyone color blind? Whens the last time you all went to see a eye doctor? hmmm.

well not sure about the white/yellow thing, but the red shift is noticeable. One thing I do know is my Mogul (New) "Pocket PC" is not silkscreen underneath the screen, my coworkers is (bought when came out).

His screen is whiter (or bluer) than mine and the red shift (most easily seen either with cleartype or on pure gray (which has a red tinge) is not much there.

My first Mogul was much worse than this one, very noticeable. I also on both experience the flicker when the screen was pressed (the new rom fyi seems to have resolved the flicker).

As a comparison a Tilt I am trying and my old Samsung i730 do not exhibit these color issues. Boy I wish tilt was on Sprint, very nice phone except for weight.

Definitely some quality control issues. I recommend people get insurance, just in case.

No beanbag - it is the Sprint Screen Fade - go to the Word App and look at the blank screen - then click the ok button in the upper corner to close the window - if you are using the default Sprint Gold background, you will see a fade to yellow - this shows especially in the wide mode - it is not your eyes just the program - try changing the background to the windows default aqua in the Today setting under setings and you will see what I mean -

Yamatter of fact. the mogul was suppose to be the tilt.gps, auto focus. And yes, the nedw rom update did in fact fix the flickerin color change for me aswell. I was tight lipped about it cuz this problem came and went and came. But nowafter the rom update it is gone for sure. But the light strenght is still low. And now im trying to prove you all that all moguls have this anomaly of the left and right side of the screen. Its not all white.

Sinn, Your other thread about the backlight issue going all black on power save mode is a Mogul defect was spot on. I didn't know it was a defect and my mogul did that. After emailing eCare about this, they sent me a new Mogul. I thank you for the heads up but this new issue you are having I don't see it on both the mogul I have, the new one and the defective one which I haven't sent back yet. To get the white screen, I try to log onto IE and then kill the connection which leave the screen completely white. The screen looks white to me. I luv you bro. You're funny as hell but you need to stop looking too hard at your screen or you'll start to see a RING and you'll defintely be in trouble then. LOL

kova4, I made sure that was not the case. I am aware of the sprint color fade on some of the windows. That why I recomment all to use a pure white background and see it yourselfs. I have 4 moguls at my reach and did this test on all 4 and yes there is this weird light issue. But I never noticed it in the past, just once I did .. I saw it on al moguls. Even my local Sprint store demo mogul has this anamaly .....

I don't know why I even bothered to do this, but while the backlighting is not perfectly even, my Mogul is white to white on all sides (landscape and portrait). BTW, you can view a blank white screen by going into full screen mode and entering this web address "about:blank".
