IR is the Beam. If you go to settings/connections go to beam and uncheck the part that says receive incoming requests it'll turn the beam off and save you alot of battery. I don't even know why most devices would have a beam with how many devices have bluetooth now a days.

same prob here...battery life has sucked since the rom

Nope no battery hacks. Just turned off the beam and only use BT when I need it. My battery life now is better than before. I'm going to chalk it up to better reception now than before.

no, I did not...just turned the IR beam off, but I just did that today after reading the posts on this thread...I was noticing significant battery increase all of this week after I updated the ROM on Tuesday...
