Downgrade radio? - Page 2

guys i have the 1.41 radio in the altell rom , ABSOLUTLEY NO PROBLEMS WHAT SO EVER.
Then i "upgraded to the new 2.16 rom from sprint , My phone froze 4 times in an hour , so i reflashed , and 5 times the next hour , i went back to the older alltell 2.14 rom and my phone is perfect again, all I really want it the radio upgrade of the new sprint rom. how do i achieve this goal. the internet seems to be much faster with the 1.47 radio.

i also found the problem to be the 1.47 radio. you can use any rom, with the 1.47 radio your device will have problems going to indefinate sleep, bt turning off, etc... i'm downgrading to 1.40 now

You will need to unlock it as the CID is still checked with radio updates. The only way around that would be to use nbhgen with the specific CID needed for a particular device.

Best bet without unlocking though for now is 2.09 sprint from it's exe and just update the KB fix via cab.

So just to be clear, if I want the latest Sprint ROM (phone over BT is a must for me), but with the 1.40 Radio, how exactly would I go about it?

I tried flashing back to the old radio with the new sprint rom. It's just as buggy.

I'm back to DCD's clean rom.

Can you give some more details? Did it still have the D-pad issue? Random BT disconnects? Random lockups?

D-pad issue? Yes
Random BT disconnects? Didn't notice
Random lockups? Yes
It also failed to wake from sleep. Keypad lights turned on but no display.
BT turned off by itself.

well reverting back to radio 1.40 and the new rom did not help. BT shut off all by itself and the phone just locked up for no reason. Ohh well going back to the old sprint rom or one of the custom roms.

What is this radio you guys are referring to? Does it come with the mogul or do you have to personally install it?

Tried new rom with 1.40 and 1.32 radio and no luck, same problems
