Downgrade radio?

I'm having issues with the new ROM. In my research, I've seen some evidence that the 1.47 radio may be at fault and that the radio can be flashed separately. I've read through the ROM threads but due primarily to my stupidity , I haven't found the info I'm looking for. I have a few questions.

- can the radio be flashed to an existing ROM install?
- if so, will a hard reset be necessary?
- can someone explain the steps to flash just the radio?

TIA

I'm with you.

Apparently you have to download the 1.4 Radio .nbh file and flash it with a ROM Update Utility, but I have tried 3 different RUU and I can't get it to flash the radio....

HELPPPP.

I am about to flash back to the old ROM because I never really had any problems since I don't use bluetooth for phone calls. Oy vey, brings life to the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" saying.

if you would like to flash the 1.40 radio, here it is:
ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....1.40_radio.rar

you can flash it with ruu.rar from imcokeman's dir:
ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....N/roms/RUU.rar

currently I am running something along the lines of the alltel OS, 1.40 radio, and the newest sprint drivers. I just had my first lockup where LED blinks but phone wont come out of standby. To me, this proves that a driver is also causing problems.

Id suggest flashing back to 2.09.651.3, alltel's official update, or a custom rom with 1.40 radio.

I did not.... didn't know I would need to.

I've always been kinda weary about doing that... if i do it, does that void warranty or insurance or anything?

Seems like its not just a radio problem in some o the posts... I am flashing back to the old rom and installing the Alltel keyboard fix, just like I had before.

Some one come get me when this problem is solved!! lol.

you should not need to unlock your mogul to flash an official radio upgrade. Why is RUU failing? Sometimes it just doesnt like to connect via AS and will work if you have your device in BL (hold power+cam while reset)

Sorry to sound stupid but where do I find the "FTP" area?
I checked the home page and forum home page but don't see it.
