Rom cookers... this might be worth using as your base instead of the alltel rom from now on!
Look at us all. Sprint has done a great job in brainwashing us. Wer happy to gain 1 meg. LOL. Still a pitty when Tilt and Touch ahve 128 or hard core ram!

How DO you best back up this stuff?
Well, since no one has answered, I'll post the answer that I came up with. I found a freeware backup utility for my personal data (Contacts, etc.) that simply extracts the data from the phone and stores it into a small database on the Storage Card. It's called PIMBackup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705

However, my other questions (below) still stand. If anyone can provide a clear guide to what should be backed up and restored, and (just as important) what shouldn't, I think it would help everyone.

I'm having DPad issues as well. Is there any way to go back to the old ROM (2.08 whatever, not 2.09 since I didn't have that on my phone to begin with). Does anyone have that 2.08 ROM exe file?

Time Zone / Clock Issues after new ROM

Is anyone having a problem with losing time? I've installed the new ROM, and I'm back to normal with installing my apps and such, however when I do a soft reset, my clock falls back 1 hour.

I currently have the clock set for GMT -5 Eastern US since this is where I'm located. It's not a big deal yet, but it may become one if I forget to set it back after a soft reboot..

my weigh in.. ill need to install it because of the alarm fix, otherwise its completely useless.

no rev a, no gps, that's all I really see..

I don't even live in an evdo area, so I can't even use the sprinttv that isn't even included. but reva was promised to us (along with gps) on the orginal packaging wasn't it?

this is not a damn free after rebate phone, it should not have free after rebate phone features. its not an iphone, we need it to do more than make phone calls, play music and google things.

id be onboard for that class action suit if the phone were in my name but im on the employee advantage plan or whatever its called now so my hands are tied. as soon as my almost-free ride is over I am going to gsm. some things are more important than a cheap plan.. like getting maybe 200 dollars worth of functionality out of a 600 dollar phone.. its a sad day for phone enthusiasts everywhere when the razr2 not only trumps a providers supposed top of the line phone, but trumps it hard.
