Are you sure everything worked properly after the restore? The reason I ask is because I did a backup immediately before upgrading the ROM and then did a restore - my ROM version is showing as 2.08.651.4 (I'm pretty sure it was .3 at the end before), ROM date is 09/03/07 (same as the screenshot on the HTC web site but not sure if that's what it's supposed to be), Radio Version is 1.47.00 (which is the new radio version). Seems like not everything updated like it should have.

Did anyone else do a Sprite restore after upgrading the ROM? If so, please post what your Device Information is displaying. Thanks.

Anyone having issues with the dpad? It works fine after a soft reset but after some time it kinda stops working. After a while if I use it it will work for a press or two but then stop..

Anyone?

This only happened after the latest rom upgrade.

I tried to install the rom from the link posted in this forum..that's when I got the error message that it wasn't a win application after installation

OK so im dumb, my laptop battery was pretty low and so I plugged it in, soft reset without the USB connection so that windows loaded properly, then ran the ROM Update and it went perfectly. DOH.

BUT, new problem. I setup the new sync relationship with ActiveSync and everything BUT my contacts synced back to the phone. Yet, contacts is checked.

Any ideas?

UPDATE!: So I got it. I went to activsync and under options unchecked the contacts sync and hit ok. it warned about deleting all the contacts on the device, which are the stupid sprint ones anyway so i said ok. then went back to options and rechecked contacts, BAM, synced them all.

So all settled on the ROM update front, now to load my customizations!! WOO!

Yeah, sometimes you have to check contacts in options several times and unplug and replug your USB into the computer. It seems hit or miss really. I don't know why it does this. Make sure you backup your contacts on your computer first, because I've had it just take what was on the phone (which was nothing after a new ROM) and I was left without all 200 of my contacts (luckily had a backup of MOST of them beforehand on another computer).

If I dl this mogul rom update, then can I go to my sprite backup and just uplaod it? Or will I still have to install iphone theme, slingbox, etc?

What do the new startup screens look like? And what is the preferred method for backing up text messages/call history/contacts?

i took the dive, so far so good, smooth sailing so far

and as a bonus jbed works with cookies a lot better using opera mini beta....i have no idea why this would work better
