How do I get Sprint Roaming options back into Alltel WM5 ROM?

I'm a Sprint user and just flashed to the Alltel WM5 ROM and love it. Only problem I have is that when I go to the phone options in settings, I no longer have choices for "Sprint Only", "Automatic" and "Roaming" only.

Is there a way to get this back by running some Sprint Customization in the old 6700 WM5 extended ROM?

There was a CAB floating around that restored these options. Try searching for the "Sprint Customizations" cab.

Try this,

in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\PhoneSetting\Netwo rkService
add the following keys:
ItemCount=3
ItemName1=Home Only
ItemName2=Automatic
ItemName3=Roaming Only
ItemValue1=1
ItemValue2=4
ItemValue3=5

It works, however, the system reset the registry back to default after soft reset.

Is there a way to make it stick?

If I recall correctly, there is a HTC settings app that runs on startup which I believe reverts all your custom settings to OEM defaults. This came into play when I tried changing DNS settings in the Alltel ROM. After disabling the program from running at srartup, my settings sticked. If somebody knows what I'm talking about, please help us out and name the app.

I think that is the app you are referring to, which begs the question... can you copy it over to the Altell ROM, run it, and it will restore SPCS settings for you

I just check, there is no such program on the start folder. I also use sktools to check it, its not even part of the services.
