Lol at comparable. Back when my mogul was acting up, I had the option of getting the Blackberry 8350i or TP. The Snap is like the Centro...nothing wrong with being more of an entry level smartphone, but most definitely not comparable to the mogul. But I guess the "of equal or lesser value" addendum makes it "comparable."

sorry but the mogul is just an awful awful phone, the snap is way better than that piece of crap, I'm loving mine, youtube is awesome (be sure to go to options and switch to high quality), and the battery is outstanding, I never thought in my life I would be able to use a phone for 2 days straight without charging it, the keyboard could be better but not much to complain, I already got used to the layout, I just wish the keys were bigger

overall just a solid phone but I think the upcoming ace 2 is going to be a lot better

Wink Re: Sprint HTC Snap

Howdy all! I have researched for about a month and got my snap today. I really tried to max it out. But alas its not to happen. This is a good phone and a very stable OS. only complaint> Have to figure out what they changed so I can put MY alerts and alarms on it. Ringers no problem at all. If you do not mind no touch and buttuns for all (and no wfi) this is it.

That simply ot true. Mogule is very outdated phone now and slow. here are the generation breakdowns from oldest to newest:
mogul
touch (much faster than mogul)
touch diamond = touch pro (faster than touch, but bloatier graphics take some speed back)
snap, same specs as TD or TP, but optmized for speed over pretty effects. You lose the touch screen but gain high quality screen with faster OS.

The has one of the highest cpu + memory specs of all the htc phones. i think they made to compete with black berry. Blackberrys, not so feature rich but they work very fast.

winmo pro (has touch screen) but is slower than regular winmo.

Yeah the snap is fantastic. Way better than my touch diamond, I was going to get the tp2 but decided against it, not worth signing a new 2 year contract when theres going to be a snap dragon/tegra phones next year, plus windows pro isn't pretty awful at its current state.

My snap is fantastic, 3g works great, gps works awesome as well, and im just very happy with it.

Re: Sprint HTC Snap

I have had my Sprint snap for 7 days now. Here is a brief report.
Altough wi fi is absent on this device (removed or blocked ) the snap is fast on the net.
Gps is fast on lock. And surprising in its accuracy.
Application access is also fast
There is a learning curve with the keyboard. But once mastered have no errors. In fact i have
less errors than using the virtual keyboard on the Instinct. Go figure.
The Phone actually feels very solid. The screen looks very very good.
Battery test as follows: talk time 6hrs 3 min before low battery warning. Thats awesome.
Generally the best managed power to use ratio I know in a WM phone.
So far have Google maps, opera mini, memory map weather radar and Turbo IRC/GPS installed.
Camera is not bad for outdoor or high light situations
Only cons. Charger
Can not figure how to get my own sounds in alert or alarms
This is the best phone I have ever used. Period.

Re: Sprint HTC Snap

you can assign your own alerts sounds by putting them into the Application Data/Sounds folder and then your custom alerts will appear in Settings>Sounds..
