Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar
For those looking to upgrade from 9.5 to a newer build, this seems to be the best build I've used in terms of speed/stability. And the bonus is I figured out how to enable the hardware zoombar as well. (Thanks to others from xda-developers)
Get build 35523 of 9.7 beta from the link on this thread in post 2: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486502 Once installed this will take over as the default browser and also work with the Internet tab in TouchFLO 3D. Next go into your \Windows folder and rename the opera9.exe to Opera9.exe (Capital O). That's it! Start Opera and enjoy the new working zoombar and a better Opera experience. |

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar
Sorry should have mentioned that. Yes it must be installed to main storage as those cabs are built to install to the Windows folder on your device just as the stock Opera builds that come with the phone are. That way it's as close to them being integrated like the stock build as you can get without having to change things. So yes it takes the place of the stock 9.5 build on the phone.

You want the WVGA not QVGA cab for the Imagio. It's the last download link on post 2 I believe.

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar
I see the new 9.7 has it's own on-screen zoom bar control, but the Imagio's zoom bar now doesn't seem to work. Can it be made to work?
