What I meant to say is that simply changing the name of opera9.exe to Opera9.exe doesn't make the hardware zoom bar work for me.

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

I was never able to get this to work on 9.7. My question is how do I get this to work on Opera 10 beta.

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

any compelling reason to upgrade? Faster page load? rendering? Personally I don't like 10 much so I wonder if 9.7 is any better than 9.5

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

I've got 9.7 to work and yes it does render faster and scrolling left/right and up/down is smoother.

Changing the opera9.exe to Opera9.exe does work (to get the zoom bar to work), however you may need to reboot your phone in order for the change to take effect.

BUT, it does come at a cost...at least for me. Certain websites would cause 9.7 to crash and this continued to happen even after reboots of the phone, so I've decided to go back to 9.5.

This is great work...thanks!

Has anyone taken a look at the new Opera 10 beta and if it integrates as easily?

Not quite as yet, keep an eye on this thread for the latest discussion on it and other Opera builds. The first few posts get updated with tweaks, and builds as they come out or are developed.

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

Working 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar here. 9.7 is a lot faster scrolling and rendering. Had to increase my cache size to 10MB cuz it seemed to only load parts of large sites I visit.

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

How does somebody go back to 9.5 if there's problems with 9.7? Did I read correctly that they don't coexist?

Re: Opera 9.7 w/working hardware zoombar

Okay. 9.7 DOES seem like a much stronger version than 9.5. However, TouchFlo still shows my 9.5 booksmarks in the Internet Tab and does not point at all to 9.7.

example: I add a favorite to 9.7 but it won't show up on the internet tab.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Not the end of the world but I like when things function properly. I know it has to do with the opera9.adr file but beyond that I don;t know.

Same problem here. Any solution would be appreciated.
