Re: Battery Cover
My battery cover was originally solid as hell, and hard to take off, but over time it became easier to remove and now is also creaky.
Has anyone had any success in getting Verizon to replace the battery cover? |

I don't jab the device...and I'm not particularly careful with it either. My Imagio is MINT and using a flathead does nothing to it what so ever. |

Re: Battery Cover
Mine is now creaky too, just in the last week or so. I rarely have a need to take it off, so I don't think removing it caused it.

Re: Battery Cover
Yeah, I'm not sure what it is exactly. After getting told by the Verizon store it wasn't covered under warranty, I bought a new one online, and it's better but it's still not as sturdy as it originally was

Re: Battery Cover
I never remove the battery cover on any device any more than is absolutely neccessary. Frequent removal only starts problems,ie; creaking, breakage, looseness, ill fitting issues etc. Most devices I've owned over the years have had creaking issues crop up sooner or later. I've yet to fail at stopping creaks by inserting a business card cut just slightly smaller than the battery and placed on top of it. Perfect thickness for making it feel solid again.
Side Note: Using the reset hole should be a last resort only when all other options are tried. My $.02 |

Re: Battery Cover
I totally eliminated the creaky cover by running 3 - 2 inch long strips of vinyl electrical tape on top of each other down the inside of the cover on the side where the volume button is. It's on the flat not on the curved part. Works great.
