When I got my phone I changed the phone setting from
Global to CMDA only so I don't have the 3G icon , my phone shows the EV-DO icon (REV A). I live in a fringe area and sometimes get a 1X icon but have the EV-DO icon 98% of the time. If you are in the US I don't see any benefit having your phone set to Global mode. |

jbh00jh, by setting your phone to CDMA only did you notice any other effects? If you get to an area that has great 3G does it auto switch or stay EvDO?

UPDATE - they got Exchange working but via a Back-Door.
It is highly possible both your company and hers have Exchange configured wrong. |

global mode has no benefit in the US unless you have unlocked the sim card and are running a US sim from someone like AT&T. Otherwise The phone will only see CDMA signals in the US.

I am having the 1X issue. This is happening to me in downtown Chicago. This doesnt happen in the suburbs for me. I have tried a new phone and it didnt fix it. I am working with tech support but they work through 1way communication with a txt message. Mike |
