Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
Yes. I connected the Imagio to a Win 7 Ultimate machine. No issues. Installed WMDC 6.1 from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en When I plugged it in first, it took a little bit to install the right driver (I am guessing downloaded it from the Interwebs) and then - it all started working. Ultimate = Pro for this situation. I also sync my Vogue with two other W7 machines, one of which is 64 bit and also no problems. If you have a 64 bit version of W7, you need this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en |

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
I recall having some issues when I first tried the beta, you had to set it to automatically find the latest drivers and icons from the internet and everything worked fine. I've been doing that since then with no issues over multiple phones, and it even has a nice pic of the imagio in WMDC IIRC, how to do this is when you get the driver not found error, click on it, and hit change settings, and you should see the option there.
Also, I had another weird issue... the phone would NOT work if I plugged it into my front ports, on a fairly new motherboard, but it works fine when plugged into the back. |

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
I have not been successful at completing an active sync to my outlook calendar. It consistently hangs. It syncs up files just fine however.

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
Plug it in and look in the Device Manager in Windows for a device called 'Microsoft Windows Mobile Remote Adapter' under Network Adapters. If it is not there, see if there is a device in Other that is not setup. Open that item and have it update drivers and see if it will go out to Windows Update and get drivers. If you manually open Windows Mobile Device Manager does it show a device connected when you have it plugged in? You should see a picture of the Imagio and some options if so.

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
I had troubles too! I was told that MSFT has not released updated drivers yet. I was able to sync my W7 pc via BT.

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
Ok. Try this.
1. Unplug your phone. Plug it in. I tried this several times and got it to work on the 10th try. It's weird. 2. On your phone, go to settings, connections, usb to pc, and uncheck Advanced Networking. 3. Worse comes to worse uninstall the Mobile Device center and re-install. 4. Don't give up. It eventually comes up. Mine took about 15 minutes of tinkering. |

Re: ActiveSync in Windows 7 Pro?
The method I have used numerous times:
• Plug in phone to computer • Run Windows Update • Windows Mobile Device Center will install, then all the drivers |
